I just finished "Where the Crawdads Sing", so I am looking for a new book. Maybe Janet Ivanovich or Stuart Woods or ???

Both good. Have you tried any CJ Box? Totally different but very good, I've read them all in the sries so far. More adventure along with murder etc. He's a game warden in Wyoming. Starts out kind of hapless but he grows. A lot. Married w/ kids.

No - I haven't, but I put them up at the library every day, all day. That sounds different. I might try that. Now I have to figure which one is first. I will look them up. Is there lots of ugly stuff that happens to animals? I can't do animal stories/movies.

I just looked up CJ Box and the show Big Sky is based on his novels and I have watched Big Sky from the begining. That might screw things up. I downloaded a Janet E book for now and I will check out CJ Box books at work tomorrow.

Nip, I read Janet
Evanovich's books mainly to read what Lula is wearing and the adventures of Grandma Mazur!
Have you read Patterson's Michael Bennett series yet. Next to the WMC, I really like them. But I think they should be read in order.

I needed something light and semi humorous so I went with a Janet Evanovich book.

I just read Where The Crawdads Sing a few weeks ago. One of the best books I’ve read. But I’m not a huge reader so that doesn’t say much. Lol
Nip, my daughter is really into the author Colleen Hoover. She has several out.

I have seen her books too Caribou. So many choices to choose from with books and when you work at a library it is over whelming. LOL I love the Crawdad book, but when I finished it I was like WOW!

Well I like Sandra Brown and Nora Roberts. Fern Michaels has written some good series and stand alones .. I really like her as she always has dogs in her books.
We read a lot of Debra Macomber during our "lock down" summer of 2020, as the Library was closed here, but some of the ladies had these books and we would sneak them around. Anything to take your mind off being confined to apt.!!
I have so many favorites from years ago who have passed away. Working in the Library, you can certainly have your pick!

I will test the waters. I do like mysteries, but I like a little humor too. Crawdads did not have any humor. Interesting for sure and a good read, but sad too.
