Has anyone read any Patricia Cornwell books?

If so what are your thoughts?  I am reading one now and I am having mixed feelings.

Is she the one that writes about the female medical examiner .. no, I haven't.  I've been eyeing them here in the Library.

She seems to be very popular.

Yes!  I will leave it at that since you haven't read one yet.

My mom used to - she was a nurse that could take the gore. I couldn't, lol. Although Maura Isles never grossed me out. Go figure.

They get pretty graphic in the Patricia Cornwell book.  More so than the medical examiner did in the James Patterson books.

I may be checking her books out .. I'm getting dangerously low on books.

I watched an old Rizzoli & Isles last night and really boo-hoo'd!   It was the one after the young detective died .. and after the funeral, Jane goes home and there's a post card from him.

Awww!  The Patricia Cornwell book got pretty good, but it took a while to warm up to the characters, but the storyline ended up being pretty damn good.

Presh - I cry every time I see that episode, I thought all the actors were so real in their grieving. Then I realized it was real - the actor who played Frost committed suicide. Their shocked looks were real. Damned shame - he was so young. I was actually a bit mad at him but you never know what happens in their minds. So sad. I thought the show handled it very well, we all got to grieve.

Oh that was a real jerker and so sad.   I really like Angie Harmon .. I think I mentioned here before she played Lindsay in the very short-lived TV show based on Patterson's Women's Murder Club

Yes! I've been a fan of hers ever since Law and Order. I'm definitely looking forward to the 2nd part of the movie on Lifetime. She's ALWAYS a badass in one way or another. She was a contract killer in it. With a twist!
