I am reading a James Lee Burke novel called the New Iberia Blues. Good book, but very gory. It's just very graphic and he spares no details. I wouldn't mind reading another one of his books, but maybe something a little less gross. I love mysteries though, so I will try a Patterson novel next and come back around to him.

Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts and I'm surprised I haven't had nightmares about fires.
And have 4 Patterson's waiting for me.

Just finished Lisa Gardner's latest, "One Step Too Far", an outdoor in the wilds survival thriller. The next one I need to have a little lighter so it's Janet Evanovich's latest Stephanie Plum book called "Game On", the 28th in the series. Yep, when I find a good author I stick with 'em, lol. Plum is always good for a laugh. I think I need that about now!

I'm not reading the "fire" book. I hate fires. I like to read 2 or 3 books by the same author, then try something else, and then go back around to the ones I like. I like Louise Penny, Nora Roberts (but not about fire), JD Robb (Nora Roberts), and Patterson. I read a bunch of Evanovich novels. They are good too.

I want to try Louise Penny's Gamache series. I was told the Library finally has the first one, Still Life, but I haven't found it yet.
Nip, I have a real fear of fire, but this is good. When I worked for SFD, the Chief had a nice long talk with me.
Janet Evanovich's books are funny! I was reading one on plane one time, just really laughing and everyone around had to know what I was reading .. ended up several other fans and we had a real good discussion and was casting character should they ever make a movie. Well I guess the movie they did make flopped big time - One for the Money. Debbie Reynolds played Grandma Mazur which was good casting.

Presh, too funny about the Evanovich books, I too found her while riding riding public transportation, the train from Boston. The woman reading them kept laughing so I told my husband I had to look to find out what she was reading. I strolled by and saw the author and have been hooked ever since.
