Re: Book recommendation

The author of "The Hunchback of Neiman Marcus" is Sonya Sones.  It really is funny.

Re: Book recommendation

I finished my other book.  Look and see if you have it in your library.  It really was funny. I am trying a Fannie Flagg book.  I have never read one of hers that I remember.

Re: Book recommendation

I hope your library has the Hunchback of Neiman Marcus.  It was hysterical and a little touching at times.  I found a Fanny Flag book last night.  I didn't realize that she wrote  Green Fried Tomatoes and played the school nurse in Grease.

Re: Book recommendation

Who write it?

Yes, Fannie Flagg wrote FGT, among many others/

She was also on the original Candid Camera w/Allen Funt.

Re: Book recommendation

I started a Fannie Flagg book and it's good, but jumps around.  It started with 3 characters and is now has  completely different characters.  Maybe it will meld together.

Re: Book recommendation

Okay - I finished the Fannie Flagg book.  By the time I got towards the end it started to drag and it was losing my attention.  I was going to read another one, but I think I will try another author.  Just have to figure out what I want.

Re: Book recommendation

The Lisa Jackson book I am reading is very good.  Scary/creepy, but still good.  It's a page flipper. The one I am reading is Deep Freeze (West Coast series - Book 1).  It might give you the Heeble Jeebies at times, but definitely good.

Re: Book recommendation

I should be able to finish up my book tonight.  I am on page 90, but each page is actually about 8-10 pages long.  So it could be around 80-100 pages left..

Re: Book recommendation

On a Kindle 1 page is about 8-10 pages.  So if it says you are on page 70 you will have to read about 10 more pages before you get to page 71. I am going to read the next book in the West Coast series (Lisa Jackson).

Re: Book recommendation

I'm on my second Lisa Jackson book and it's even better than the 1st one.  They are a bit gritty, but very good.  Somewhat funny, but excellent mysteries.
